Experienced skiers will work on ski fitness. We will also schedule presentations on equipment- how it works, what to buy, how to maintain it, etc. Once it snows, this group will meet at locations covered by the Minneapolis Ski Pass such as the Columbia Golf Course, Hiawatha Golf Course, the Chain of Lakes, and other parts of Theodore Wirth Park. We may also meet at other times and locations, for example, the group might meet at 2 pm on Saturday on the Wirth snowmaking loop to take advantage of a less crowded time on the trail. Location and time will be announced on the Loppet Ski Club Team App. The Open Ski Program will also include education (equipment, waxing, clothing) and social activities. The social part usually starts with a ski club favorite- eating. Potlucks and Mill Valley Market at The Trailhead are among the options.
