Louisiana Watermelon Festival 5k
About this race
The 2026 Louisiana Watermelon Festival 5k event offers a great challenge to local runners and walkers. This course is a fast first mile downhill followed by what we like to affectionately call Watermelon Mountain at mile 2.
This year, proceeds from the event will go to Willpower Foundation, Inc. This is a non-profit organization made up of volunteers in Northeast Louisiana that host events to race money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Learn more about the organization from their website linktr.ee/willpowerfoundation.
To top it all off, at the end of the race there will be slices of locally grown Louisiana Watermelon for all finishers to enjoy.
Your race entry will include this year's race t-shirt guaranteed for online registration until July 14th, 2026!
