Luckenbach Texas 5K
About this race
Like Waylon Jennings sang, “let’s go to Luckenbach Texas,” and so should you. Be sure to grab your friends and join us for our annual Luckenbach Texas 5k - All Terrain Run on the hallowed Luckenbach grounds then hang around to make some new ones as you listen to some of the best Texas style country music in the world. This event will feature plenty of trails, a couple of streams, lots of high fives and most likely a cold Lone Star beer or two after. And remember, “In Luckenbach Texas, ain’t nobody feelin’ no pain.”

Beer mile participants, if you are not running in the 5K this event will begin when the 5K concludes. Packet pick-up information will be sent via email the week before the event.
Ready to test your limits? The Luckenbach Texas 5K brings a highly anticipated 5K, 1.6K to Fredericksburg on June 1, 2024. Expect a fantastic route right in the heart of Texas.

Trail running
5K - Competitive Heat (Individuals)
This heat is for all of you competitive athletes out there that really want to get after it and race the course! Only sign up for this heat if you think you have what it takes to be King or Queen of the all terrain. 1st - 3rd place winners will receive a trophy in this division.
5K - Competitive Heat (Teams)
This heat is for all of you competitive teams out there that really want to get after it and race the course! Only sign up for this heat if you think you have what it takes to be the "Fastest Team" of the all terrain. MUST HAVE 3 PEOPLE or more to make it a competitive team.
5K - Fun Run (Individuals and Teams)
This heat is for all of you athletes, teams and weekend warriors out there that are more interested in having fun along the way than reaching the podium. This division will not be timed and no awards.
5K - Pack Run (Individuals and Teams)
This heat is for all of you Active Duty, Vets or other crazies that just feel at home with a weighted pack on your back and combat boots on your feet. You must run/hump a 35lb pack (pack weight is included) the entire length of the course. This weight is for both men and women. We ask, not mandatory, that your 35lbs of weight consists of non perishables like canned goods, rice, etc. that can be donated to the local food bank after the event.
Running
Beer Mile
You will drink a beer and run 400 meters x 4 rounds to make up the mile course. Must be 21 to participate. There is an Individual category and a Team category. (Teams must have 2-4 members). You can walk, run, crawl or have someone run for you and you drink the beer! LOL
