Lyme Warrior's Run Like A Warrior 5ks - Roanoke, VA
About this race
May is Lyme Disease Awareness Month — and this year, we're suiting up.
The Lyme Warrior 5K is coming to Roanoke, and we're going SUPERHERO. Because let's be honest — if you've fought Lyme disease, you already are one.
But first — we're thrilled to share that Dr. Talty, a local Lyme-literate physician, will be joining us on the greenway to speak and answer your questions. A doctor who truly understands Lyme disease is rare and invaluable, and having one right there with our community is something we don't take lightly. Don't miss the chance to connect.
🩺 Dr. Talty on site — speaking and available for questions
🦸 Dress the part — capes, masks, and superhero gear encouraged!
🍔 Food trucks on site — fuel up before or after
🎪 Bounce house for the little heroes in your crew
This is a family event. Bring your kids, bring your dog, bring your neighbors. No pressure, no clock, no finish time — just community, awareness, and a really good time on the greenway.
Lyme disease is frequently misunderstood, misdiagnosed, and isolating. Events like this one exist to change that — one mile, one family, one community at a time.
Whether you are a seasoned runner or just looking to get out and enjoy some fresh air and support from the sidelines, our Lyme Disease Fundraiser is the perfect opportunity to make a difference.
