Lace up for the largest 5K in the area – where every step is a part of something big! The Lynchburg Turkey Trot is a community fun run/walk with all proceeds of this fundraising race supporting the programs and services of HumanKind.
Everyone can join in, individually or with your favorite flock; in-person or virtually. You can run, walk, or TROT and make a difference in your community all year long.

If you are going to be out of town, cooking or prefer to snooze instead of lacing up your racing shoes on Race Day, this is the event for you! This option allows you to support the cause from out of town, in your kitchen, or the comfort of your own bed. When you register as a Sleep-In for the Trot participant, you or a friend may pick up your Lynchburg Turkey Trot T-shirt and Race bag Packet Pick-Up along with other participants on Wednesday, November 21 or make arrangements to pick them up after Thanksgiving Day. You’ll also be giving “thanks” by helping individuals and families throughout our community! Proceeds from this race benefit the programs of HumanKind, which provide a broad range of services that foster the social, mental and financial well-being of families and individuals. With a focus on empowering people of all backgrounds and abilities, HumanKind helps equip people to build better lives for themselves and their families. These programs serve thousands of people in Lynchburg and across Virginia each year!
