Mackinac Island Swim
About this race
The Mackinac Island Swim is a FUN and challenging event (not a race). Come join us for up to 8.2 miles of swimming in this clear blue water with some of the greatest backdrops Pure Michigan has to offer!! Enjoy the finish line festivities following your swim. All sales of merchandise, raffles and auctions held the weekend of the event go to support the 501(c)3 non-Profit The Mackinaw Woman's Club. This year we hope to best our 2025 total of $30,000.
Two packet pick-up options will be available before the event. Both options will be in Mackinaw City, one on Friday night and the other on Saturday. Specific times and locations will be announced closer to event day.
The finish line puts you at the beautiful shores of the Mission Point Resort where our gracious sponsors will host our finish line festivities. Come rain or shine you and your fellow swimmers and family will have a beautiful and dry spot to celebrate and eat (swimmers meal is covered, tickets must be purchased in advance for friends and family. A link will be sent well in advance to purchase tickets).
Included with your $299 registration fee:
- Entry to the Swim
- 1 Event towel (or equivalent)
- 1 Finisher Medal
- 1 Finish Line Meal Ticket
Please note that the relay price is $249/person*. This will not be reflected until the end of registration at the payment screen. *The participant that starts/sets up the relay team will be charged the individual price, and will then be refunded $50 once a new relay member registers to the team.
Participants are required to purchase their own ferry tickets to the island on a reserved ferry specifically for Mackinac Island swimmers and spectators will leave on event morning at 6:30am.

Mackinac Island Swim 2026
The full swim course is 8.2 miles. Swimmers may choose to do 7 miles by negating the start loop. If a swimmer feels they are unable to complete the swim OR chooses to swim less than 7 miles, they may get out whenever they choose and walk back to the start line. They must check-in with staff following exit and at the finish line table.

Mackinac Island Swim 2026 - Kayak Supporter
This is NOT for entry to swim the 2026 Mackinac Island Swim. Select this event if you wish to be a KAYAK SUPPORTER for an individual swimmer or relay team. If you are already part of a relay (as a swimmer), but plan to use a kayak with your relay, you do NOT need to select this option. This is for individuals that are assisting from their kayak only. Your event fee covers the cost of your kayak's transport to the island and for your post swim meal. By selecting this event, you are agreeing to kayak the circumference of Mackinac Island (8.2 miles) as safety/support for a swimmer (or swim relay).
