WILL RUN FOR MARGARITAS! This August we have teamed up with Plaza Antigua to bring you the Margarita 5K! This new, summertime event offers a great neighborhood 3.1 mile course, a festive tech event shirt, a commemorative finisher glass, and you guessed it...a post-race celebratory margarita! WHAT YOU GET • All participants get a performance race shirt, finisher glass and you guessed it…a margarita! • Outdoor post-race celebration with music and food for purchase from Plaza Antigua. • Walkers welcome! REGISTRATION • $32 until August 5, 2021 • $42 August 6 – August 17, 2021 | no shirt* • *Shirt cut-off is August 5; a limited amount of extra shirts will be ordered and assigned by date of registration. YOU MUST REGISTER BY AUGUST 5 TO RECEIVE AN EVENT SHIRT. REFERRAL PROGRAM Invite your friends to join you at the Margarita 5K. If you get 4 friends to sign up using your special referral link (which you receive in your confirmation email after you register), you'll get a $10 refund as our Thank You! COURSE The course is on pavement and traverses through an adjacent neighborhood. Walker and Fido friendly. Fido must be leashed at all times, is allowed on the course and in the outdoor seating area. PACKET PICK-UP Plaza Antigua (formally Plaza Azteca) 32 Windigrove Dr., Waynesboro, VA 22980 | Saturday, August 21, 2021 | 8:00 AM - 8:45 AM POST-RACE After you cross the finish line, it's time to celebrate! Grab your finisher glass and margarita, and enjoy the party! Awards will be given out to age group and overall winners, and music and food from Plaza Antigua will be available throughout the event. • A finisher glass and margarita is included for all participants over 21 • Use the Beverage Ticket attached to your race bib to pick up your glass • Please bring proper ID to partake SOCIAL MEDIA Don't forget to visit our Facebook and Instagram pages and use the hashtags #margarita5k when you share your race pics! You can also upload them to the Photos tab above. REFUNDS | TRANSFERS There are NO refunds. Runner transfers (transferring your race entry to another runner) are allowed. Please email your request two weeks before race day. WEATHER If there is severe weather that makes the course unsafe for runners, we will postpone the event to the following day. We will notify participants via email and will post this information on the website and Facebook pages. Please make sure you can make both dates, as there are no refunds.
