Goal: Improve swim efficiency, reduce race-day anxiety, and execute a confident long-course swim
Requirements: Must be able to swim 100 yds continuous (pool), 100 yds (OWS) | Swim safety buoy required

Focus: Stroke efficiency, body position, energy conservation
Goal: Leave with targeted drills to improve endurance and efficiency
Requirements: Must swim 100 yds continuously
IM 70.3/140.6 Open Water Swim Clinic – Lake Only
Date: Sat, Feb 28, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM–12:00 PM CST
Location: Walter E. Long Lake
Focus: Sighting, drafting, navigation, cold-water entry
Practice Swim: 1,000 yds or 1.2 miles (fully supported)
Goal: Build open-water confidence and race readiness
Requirements: Must be able to swim 100 yds (OWS) | Swim safety buoy required
Level 1: New Triathlete Swim Clinic (Pool)
Date: Sun, Mar 1, 2026
Time: 1:00–3:00 PM CST
Location: NW YMCA Pool
Focus: Breathing rhythm, body position, foundational technique
Goal: Swim calmly and efficiently with confidence
Requirements: Must swim 25 yds continuously
Level 2: Intermediate Triathlete Swim Clinic (Pool)
Date: Sun, Mar 1, 2026
Time: 1:00–3:00 PM CST
Location: NW YMCA Pool
Focus: Speed development, stroke efficiency, race strategy
Goal: Swim faster without working harder
Requirements: Must swim 50 yds continuously

Part 1: Pool Swim Clinic – Feb 1st (Form & Technique) Part 2: OWS Clinic & Supported Practice Swim – Feb 28th at Walter E. Long Lake Practice Swim: Choice of 1,000 yards or 1.2 miles with full coach support.
IM 70.3/140.6 Swim Technique Clinic (Pool)
Pool Technique Clinic Master the fundamentals of iron-distance swimming in a controlled environment. This session focuses on identifying form "leaks," improving stroke efficiency, and building the stamina needed for a strong race start. Date: Feb 1st Focus: Body position, propulsion, and energy-saving techniques. Goal: Leave with specific drills to practice before your open water season begins.
IM 70.3/140.6 Open Water Skills Clinic (Lake)
IM 70.3/140.6 Open Water Skills Clinic & Practice Swim Bridge the gap between pool training and race day with this hands-on open water session at Walter E. Long Lake. This clinic includes a "cold water" skills session followed by a supported practice swim. Date: Feb 28th Focus: Sighting, navigation, drafting, and managing cold water entry. Practice Swim: Choice of 1,000 yards or 1.2 miles with full coach and safety support.

Level 1 New Triathlete Swim Clinic (Pool)
Level 1: Foundation & Confidence Designed for novice triathletes ready to move past the struggle in the water. We focus on breathing rhythm, efficient body position, and building the stamina needed to finish your first swim with energy to spare. Requirement: Must be able to swim 25 yards continuously. Goal: Transform your stroke from "surviving" to "navigating" the water.
Level 2 Intermediate Triathlete Swim Clinic (Pool)
Level 2: Speed & Race Strategy For seasoned triathletes who have the endurance but lack the speed and efficient form. We dive deep into advanced technique corrections and open water racing strategies like drafting and efficient buoy turns to help you shave minutes off your personal best. Focus: Power development, stroke rate optimization, and tactical navigation. Goal: Move from the back of pack, to the middle or to the front of your wave.
