About the Event
A 5K run or 1 Mile run/walk to benefit Maui County's Schools. 100% of the proceeds from the event will be donated back to the school you designate during online registration.
Run For Fitness Mission Statement
“Run for Fitness seeks to promote health and fitness for Hawaii’s children by giving our schools the ability to increase participation in youth sports and recreation programs by providing additional funds to maintain or purchase new equipment for their physical fitness, play and athletic programs. We want to help our schools to be able to keep our children healthy through an active lifestyle. We also seek to promote fitness within our communities through participation by friends and families of our children.”
Join fellow runners on March 7, 2027 for the Maui 5K. It's a fantastic 5K, 1.6K featuring a flat and fast course in Wailuku.

5K Run - TIMED EVENT
A 5K run starting and finishing at the Maui Ocean Center. This will be a timed 5K run for participants to qualify for age group awards.There will be a race packet pick up on February 28, 2026. It will be held at Skechers store in Kahului. T-shirts will be mailed only to virtual run participants with US postal addresses.
5K Run - UNTIMED (No race timing, No age group awards)
A 5K run starting and finishing at the Maui Ocean Center. This will be an UNTIMED 5K Run/Walk. There will be no age group awards for this event. There will be a race packet pick up on February 28, 2026. It will be held at Skechers store in Kahului. T-shirts will be mailed only to virtual run participants with US postal addresses.
YOUTH 5K Timed (17yrs and Under)

1 Mile Run/Walk - UNTIMED
A 1 Mile course starting at the Maui Ocean Center and going around the Ma'alaea Triangle. The 1 Mile distance is an UNTIMED event. There will be a race packet pick up on February 28, 2026. It will be held at Aloha Rock Gym in Kahului. T-shirts will be mailed only to virtual run participants with US postal addresses.
YOUTH 1Mile Walk (17yrs & Under)
This is for YOUTH 17 yrs & Under. The 1 Mile distance is an UNTIMED event. There will be a race packet pick up on February 28, 2026. It will be held at Aloha Rock Gym in Kahului. T-shirts will be mailed only to virtual run participants with US postal addresses.
Virtual 5K or 1Mile Run/Walk
Run or walk in your own neighborhood or on your favorite route. You may post your finish times from March 1st to 6th. T-shirts will be mailed to U.S. postal addresses only after the event.
