McLeod Health & Fitness Center Kids Splash and Dash

Come join us for the only USAT Splash and Dash in South Carolina. This race will consist of a 150yd swim and a 2k (1.2 mile) run. Ages 5-17 are welcome to sign up and be a part of this awesome event. Multi-Sport is a great way for kids to challenge themselves, put two sports together and push their endurance.

This is a staggered start event with athletes entering the pool every 20 seconds. We will start with the 16-17 age group and work our way down. This will allow the younger participants to watch and learn how the race will proceed.. You must then complete 2 laps of the McLeod Health and Fitness Center before you can enter the finishing chute.

Note: overall placement is dependent on individual race time and not line up. Someone starting after you could place before you!

Guardians of younger participants are welcome to run alongside their athlete for the run portion!

Your time will be the entire time it takes to do the swim and run portions.

What will I need to bring?

• Swimsuit
• Goggles
• Swim cap (Optional)
• Socks and Running shoes.
• Towel
• A positive attitude

Shirts:
To guarantee a T-shirt you must be registered by 7/5/2026

Shirt Sizes:
Adult – S-XL
Youth- XS-XL

Awards: 
All Participants will get a custom finish medal!!!
Top boy and girl per age group will receive an award.

Age Groups:
5-7, 8-10, 11-13, 14-15, 16-17

You are in the age group according to what your age is as of 12/31/2026. This falls in line with USAT rules. Ex. If you are 7 on July 20th, but you turn 8, on September 8th, you will be in the 8-10yr age category.

Aquathon Fees:
$25 per athlete
Registration ends on 7/17
T-shirt guarantee cut-off is 7/5
Capped at 100 participants.
