Melissa's Race to Battle Brain Cancer is SO much more than another 5K. This event is a FUNDRAISER benefiting FLORIDA HOSPITAL CANCER INSTITUTE for brain cancer research.It's also a fun, challenging, and certified chip-timed 5K run and walk, located at Fort Mellon Park on the scenic shore of Lake Monroe in Sanford. This event is in memory of Melissa Vosburg, a resident of Sanford and teacher at Midway Elementary School, who was lost to brain cancer in 2013.

WHAT IS A VIRTUAL RACE? A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym or on the track (or even at another race). You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself and send in your time. And your medal and t-shirt will be shipped directly to you.
