Melrose Run for Women
About this race
Please join us for this 3.5-mile race, an annual tradition celebrating Mother's Day to benefit Melrose Alliance Against Violence (MAAV), hosted by the Melrose Running Club. Special thanks to our title sponsor Fitzgerald Physical Therapy Associates for supporting the 29th running of the Melrose Run For Women. The festivities kick off with a series of races for kids 10 and under at 8:30am followed by the main event, a 3.5 mile run/walk winding through the scenic Swains Pond section of Melrose, at 9:00am.
All net proceeds will benefit MAAV. MAAV is committed to breaking the cycle of domestic violence through raising awareness in the community, educating young people and linking victims to the resources needed to live free from violence. Your participation help support programs in the Melrose schools and services for victims of domestic violence.
Official race shirts will be available to the first 400 registrants in the 3.5-mile race. Don't delay and register today!

All awards are for women or those who identify as women, with the exception of the fastest Mother/Son pair. Top 3 Women. Age Group Awards. 1st Mother. 1st Grandmother. 1st Great Grandmother (new 2023!); Fastest Mother/Daughter Pair and Fastest Mother/Son Pair (new 2023!) *Teams: 1 Mother + Daughter(s)/Son(s), up to 5 runners per team *T Shirts: guaranteed for the first 400 registrants *Walkers: Walkers welcome. Please start at back of pack. *Strollers: Participants with jogging strollers should start at the back of the pack. Please keep to the far left and alert runners when passing. *Dogs: For the safety of runners and spectators, dogs (with the exception of assistive service dogs) are not permitted to participate.
Kid's Race for 10 and under
4 & Under : 50 meter dash on grass (weather permitting) 5-7 year olds: 100 meter dash on grass (weather permitting) 8-10 year olds: 1/4 mile run around track (weather permitting)
