Virtual 5K Run
The 2020 Harvest Hustle 5K and Kids Fun Run is virtual, which means that runners complete the race on their own – you run your own 5K course (or the 1 mile Fun Run) and submit your own time. You can submit your race time at any point during the month of October. We understand that a virtual 5K race is not the same experience as a traditional on-site, live event. But a virtual race provides several benefits, including: • More people can participate since they don’t have to be in a specific location at a specific day/time -- friends and family can join from anywhere which can make this more of a shared experience within your personal family/friend community – if they’re willing to run at any point in October, they can be part of the experience; • It’s schedule/location flexible -- the timing and course that you run is based on your schedule and whatever is best for you – it can be early AM, late at night, midday during the week, in your basement, on your favorite trail, etc. – as long as you run a 5K distance (or the 1 mile Fun Run), you’ve finished the race; • THERE ARE DO-OVERS – if you run the race distance and are not happy with your time, run it again and re-submit the new time – you can do this as many times as you’d like in October.
