About this race
The Mid-Atlantic Multisport Open Water Swim Series is a collection of open water training swims and skills & safety clinics spread throughout the spring and summer months. The training swims are designed for experienced triathletes and open water swimmers while the skills & safety clinics are perfect for those new to open water swimming or anyone looking to become stronger and more efficient in an open water environment.
Mid-Atlantic Multisport has been providing open water swimming instruction and training opportunities for triathletes and open water enthusiasts since 2008. During this time, we have helped thousands of athletes overcome their anxieties related to open water and become faster, more confident swimmers.

Training Swims | Season Pass (Attend ALL 2026 Training Swims)
Our Training Swims provide triathletes and recreational swimmers with an opportunity to practice their open water skills, simulate race conditions and get in a great workout on safe, well-marked courses monitored by certified coaches and lifeguards. The Training Swims do NOT include dryland or in-water instruction by our coaching staff. Skills & Safety Clinic #4 - August 12, 2026
Our Clinics are designed for swimmers of all levels who want to build confidence and improve efficiency in open water. Clinic Format: The Clinic is divided into two parts: Part I: On-Demand Webinar (60 minutes) - This pre-recorded session can be watched at your convenience before the in-water practice. - We will cover the unique aspects of open water swimming and identify common anxiety factors. - Learn strategies to minimize or eliminate open water anxiety. - Discussion of key equipment selections to enhance your comfort and performance. Part II: In-Water Instruction & Practice (90 minutes) - Held on-site at Marsh Creek State Park, led by our coaching staff. - Coaches will demonstrate and teach crucial open water skills, including: sighting, drafting, buoy turns, and triathlon swim starts. - Practice these skills in a focused, small-group setting. - The second half of the session offers an opportunity to practice your new skills on our dedicated training course. - A Q&A session will address specific questions about the webinar material or open water swimming in general.
