Midnight Special 5K

MIDNIGHT SPECIAL 5K - 26th addition

A Northwestern Ohio New Year's Eve Tradition! Run in the New Year with a race that takes "Two Years to Finish!" (unless you run faster than a 5 minute mile, then it only takes one year!)  A 5K race that starts on New Year's Eve at 11:45 PM.   

LOCATION: Patron Saints Brewery. The course is out and back along the University Parks Trail. Starting in the back parking lot of Patron Saints, running up to the UP Trail then west towards Wildwood Metropark and back via the same route.  We will not be crossing any roads but please be aware of vehicles in Patron Saint's parking lot.  The course is not lit, please wear lights.  There will be small ground lights for course direction only.

          Awards: Overall Male & Overall Female, Overall Masters Male & Female  No age group awards. Non-binary category is not eligible for awards.
          First 150 who register will receive special gift. First 150 who complete the 5K will receive a drinking vessel. 

Guaranteed Hoodie deadline is December 13, 2026. The Hoodie are unisex sizing, small - XXlarge.

There will be no water stops along the course.  Water and snacks will be provided at the finish along with other goodies.  Feel free to bring your own food and hang out afterwards. Adult beverages will be available for purchase from Patron Saints. ID required.  For those under 21, Patron Saints has homemade root beer for purchase.

Early packet pick up and late registration Sunday Dec 27th 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm Second Sole, Levis Commons, Perrysburg. Race day packet pickup starts at 10:30 pm and will close at 11:30 pm.  
Online registration only.  Registration closes December 31, 2026 at 11:45 pm.
