Mile Light Ice Run 5k
About this race
The Mile Light Ice Run starts in downtown Greenville, Maine, and heads out across frozen Moosehead Lake toward the iconic Mile Light before turning south and returning to town.
Locals know that enjoying Moosehead Lake doesn’t end with summer. We’re adding this race to our event lineup to share the vast beauty of our home in every season. Think wide-open views, fresh winter air, and running without the sand, salt, and mud of roadside miles.
In March, warmer days and cold nights can create a remarkable running surface. The sun softens the winter snowpack, while overnight temperatures freeze it back into a firm, packed surface. Course conditions will depend on the weather, and sections will be groomed as needed to improve the running experience.
After crossing the finish line, join us for a warm chili lunch inside The Rockwell Insurance Agency office at 35 Pritham Avenue, Greenville, ME 04441, served immediately following the race.
