Miles For Mental Health
About this race
Please arrive at the race location at 10 am for registration and announcements. The race will begin at 11 am.
Downingtown East students are organizing a 2.5-mile race as a graduation project to bring awareness to mental health. In the past few years, the Downingtown community has experienced many losses to mental illness. Many were Downingtown students or alumni. The first 30 people who sign up will receive a free t-shirt. The run will be 2.5 miles long. It will be outside on the pavement, grass, and through some wooded areas. Please dress appropriately. A mile walk will also take place on the track behind the school. When signing up please put next to your name if you are participating in the 2.5-mile run or the mile walk. If you are a student at Downingtown East or part of the DASD staff you get in free. Children under 11 are free as well. All proceeds go to Mental Health America Lancaster. Local businesses sponsor the run and we are very grateful for their support!
