Get ready for the sixth annual Moose Loop Trail Challenge—your summer-long excuse to explore Anchorage’s amazing urban trails that (yes, really!) loop around the city in the shape of a moose!
Whether you run, walk, bike, or roll, this un-timed, all-ages, all-abilities adventure is your chance to enjoy the great outdoors at your own pace—on the Moose Loop in Anchorage or wherever you are. It’s not just a celebration of trails, it’s a feel-good fundraiser for the Anchorage Park Foundation, and the perfect way to stay active and connected all summer long.
Join fellow runners on September 12, 2026 for the 2026 Moose Loop Trail Challenge. It's a fantastic 5K, 10K, 25.8K, Ultra featuring a flat and fast course in Anchorage.

Create your own 10K route anywhere or find a section of the Anchorage Moose Loop trails to run, bike, walk, or roll.
Mini Moose
Create your own route using a section of the Moose Loop trails or anywhere and run, bike, walk, or roll half the distance (25.75K) of the Anchorage Moose Loop.
Mighty Moose
Bike the entire 32-mile (51.5K) Anchorage Moose Loop!
