About this race

The annual 5K is back and ready to hit the streets of historic downtown New Bern! Hosted by New Bern Parks and Recreation, this high-energy race is part of the iconic Mumfest weekend - a community favorite packed with music, food, arts, and family-friendly fun.

This year, the wait is over! We’re officially debuting the exciting new route we were ready to roll out last year—now better than ever. Runners will enjoy a partially closed course that winds right through the heart of the Mumfest festival footprint, putting you in the middle of all the action!

And because every great race deserves a great finish…  enjoy free mimosas at the finish line as you celebrate your run!

Lace up, soak in the atmosphere, and be part of one of New Bern’s most vibrant fall traditions! Made possible with the support of our sponsors:  Thompson Homes Real Estate Group and Swiss Bear Inc.
