New Year's Day Run 5K McKinney

Start Your New Year on the Right Foot! This fun 5K will have you running the New Year in festive style!

New Year's Day Brunch will go until 11am.

5K & Breakfast!

Run, walk, or skip a 5K on a beautiful Wilson Creek. Start  & Finish at The Stix Icehouse + breakfast is included! Registered runners will receive a free beer or mimosa and a breakfast taco!

This event will sell out so please don't wait until the last minute to sign up! We can't wait to see you at the start line!

The short answer is.... ANYWHERE! We have multiple parking lots around The Stix 

The Run

5K and 1M Fun Run on a Wilson Creek Trail, 2 water stop will be provided on the 5K course.

The Swag

Breakfast Pass - All American breakfast + beer or mimosa for those over 21 years of age  (must be 21 bring I.D.)

NYDR t-shirt (they are awesome but runners who wait until the last minute to register may not receive the size they want or may not receive a t-shirt at all. T-shirts must be order ahead of time, and we cannot guess accurately who will register after we place the order and what size they might wish to receive)

Finisher Medal

Virtual participants will receive a t-shirt and finisher medal via mail during the week after  the race.

9:00 am 5K starts (no late starts will be allowed)

9:05 am 1M Fun Run starts

9:30am Brunch is served 

10:00 am Awards Table Opens

Course Notes

The use of personal music devices during the race is strongly discouraged. To enjoy all that participating in a race has to offer and for the safety of all participants, race management encourages a headphone-free environment during the event.

Safety has always been, and will continue to be, a top priority. Please be mindful of the other participants and respect the race personnel to ensure a safe and enjoyable race for everyone.

Per USATF safety rules and insurance, no pets are allowed on the 5K and 10K course. Strollers are allowed to be safely integrated into the event.

Pets are welcome in the 1M fun event.

The minimum age to participate in the 5K is 6 and no minimum age for the 1 mile.

Race Day Management reserves the right to change any event course at any time due to safety, weather conditions, or other production concerns.

Top Finisher Masters Male and Female

3 Top Male and Female Finishers in Age Groups 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+

1M fun run is not timed, no awards, just fun.
