About this race
Whether your kids are new to triathlon or ready to take their racing to the next level, NextGen has you covered! NextGen is a USAT certified youth triathlon training program located in League City, Texas, for athletes ages 5-14. Our coaches strive to create a positive and uplifting environment and encourage athletes of all ability levels to achieve their goals through creative workouts and supportive coaching.

All participants in NextGen Training must have current NextGen Triathlon Club memberships. Once your membership is verified, a $20 discount will be applied at checkout.

Summer Training 2024
Our 2024 summer session leads up to the Captain Kids Triathlon - the best and most fun kids tri around! Workout dates: June 30 July 7, 14, 21, and 28 August 4, 11, 18, 25 September 1 September 8: Captain Kid's Triathlon Each athlete must have a valid annual NextGen membership to register for training. You can purchase or renew a membership during training registration, or do so directly at https://runsignup.com/MemberOrg/NextGenTriathlonClub2/Register. An annual USAT individual membership is strongly recommended but not required for NextGen training.

Captain Kid's Triathlon
This is Coach Crash's race at Moody Gardens, and the most fun destination triathlon in the Seven Seas! Your Mates and Mini Mates will swim in the lazy river, bike through the resort, run through the tropical gardens, and finish it off with a party in the waterpark for the entire family. Each athlete gets admission to the waterpark, along with free admission for three other family members or buddies. It’s a fun race in a beautiful resort - come for race day or stay at the hotel and make it a family weekend getaway!
