2019 NIA Jingle Bell Run - 5k
For those who weren't with us last year, our 5k course now starts next to the church, runs down Shelton Rd, up Huntington Rd, and into the Nichols neighborhood. We eliminated the first of the hills on Primrose but a couple more remain as you jingle up and down. The finishing mile is a FAST net downhill with the greatest drop the last half mile! http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=7313802 THIS IS A COMPUTER CHIP TIMED EVENT- participants are eligible for awards from this event only.
Jingle Bell Junior
Our kids sprint/scamper/run/stroll (so many options) starts at the Nichols Firehouse and runs downhill to our 5k finish line. Great for taking pictures and keeping an eye on the little tykes as they Jingle down the course. YES- parents can accompany their child, especially if it helps to reduce tears/drama that sometimes occur.
Walking
2019 NIA Jingle Bell 1 mile Health Walk
Not into running ... not a problem. This is an non-timed scenic walk through the rolling hills of Nichols. Stroll, walk, push/pull the kids ... everyone is welcome! THERE ARE NO AWARDS IN THIS EVENT. OUR 1.25 MILE WALK STARTS WITH THE 5K. The start is on Shelton Rd with the 5k start. COURSE MAP- https://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=7429270 Want to walk more than 1mile? You can walk 2 by turning down North street or walk the entire 5K by following the runners route. OR you can walk the entire 5k- but if you want to do that we ask that you register in the 5k, not as a walker in the shorter event.
