Welcome to the Night Serpent 5K, a nighttime trail race unlike anything else on your race calendar. Held on private property in Eads, TN, runners will take on a dark, wooded trail filled with twists, turns, shadows—and a few things waiting for you along the way.
This isn’t just a 5K in the dark. It’s a full haunted trail-running experience.
6:00 PM — Haunted Trails
Our earlier race offers the excitement of the Night Serpent with a less intense, haunted experience. Runners 10 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Our haunted creatures will be positioned throughout the course, but they'll remain still as runners pass.
8:00 PM — The Trails Come Alive
When darkness takes over, so do the trails.
The 8:00 PM race is reserved for ages 16+ and delivers the full Night Serpent experience. Our haunted creatures won't just be hiding in the woods anymore—they'll come alive.
Expect darkness. Expect surprises. Expect your heart rate to climb for reasons that have nothing to do with your pace.
No haunted creature will intentionally touch a runner, but we can't promise they won't make you run a little faster.
Bring a headlamp, bring your courage, and come experience 3.1 miles after dark.

The Serpent Sleeps 5k
The Serpent Sleeps 5K is the family-friendly version of the Night Serpent 5K. Runners will complete a 3.1-mile trail course on private property in Eads, Tennessee. Haunted creatures will be positioned throughout the course but will remain still and will not chase or interact with runners. Start Time: 6:00 PM Distance: 5K (3.1 miles) Location: Private trails in Eads, Tennessee All ages welcome Runners 10 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian Haunted creatures remain still Headlamp required This race is designed for runners and families who want to experience the haunted Night Serpent course without the more intense scares of the 8:00 PM race.
The Serpent Awakens 5k
The Serpent Awakens 5K is the full haunted version of the Night Serpent 5K. Runners will complete a 3.1-mile trail course on private property in Eads, Tennessee. Haunted creatures will be positioned throughout the course, and during this race, the creatures come alive. Expect creatures to move, chase, surprise, and scare runners throughout the course. Haunted creatures will not intentionally touch runners. Start Time: 8:00 PM Distance: 5K (3.1 miles) Location: Private trails in Eads, Tennessee Ages 16+ only Haunted creatures will move, chase, and scare runners Haunted creatures will not intentionally touch runners Headlamp required This is the more intense Night Serpent experience and is intended for runners who are ready to take on the trails after the creatures have awakened.
