About this race
NMSU Sprint Triathlon Race Sunday, October 18th, 8 am start time
NMSU will be hosting a sprint triathlon event this fall after a hiatus of more than ten years. This triathlon will be in run, bike, swim order and will start at the Aquatic Center parking lot. Register now here!
The sprint triathlon distances for this race will be a 5 kilometer run (3.1 miles), a 20 kilometer bike (12.4 miles), and a 400 meter (0.25 mile) swim. The run will be two laps around the fields behind the activity center and Sutherland Village, the bike will be four laps going around NMSU campus from the Aggie Memorial Stadium to the DACC. The swim will be a traditional snake swim in NMSU’s outdoor pool. The transition area is located in the NMSU Satellite Water Facility Parking lot, west of the Aquatic Center. We will be offering relay options for this race! Grab two friends and split up the triathlon disciplines, with each of you tackling a portion of the race.
Age group awards will be given to the top 3 in each age group. There will be additional awards for the top three relay teams.
Primary parking is located at the lot west of the NMSU Track and Field Complex. Additional Parking is located in a dirt lot at the intersection of Wells Street and Williams Ave. THERE WILL BE NO PARKING INSIDE THE SATELLITE WATER FACILTY LOT DUE TO THE TRANSITION LOCATED IN THAT AREA.
All proceeds benefit the NMSU Triathlon Club and allow NMSU students to compete in collegiate triathlon across the country. No refunds. Unclaimed entries will be considered donations. Improper usage of the NMSU Staff & Faculty, or NMSU student pricing will result in reservation cancelation without refund.

Relay Sprint Triathlon
This registration is for the captain of the relay team. Each participant does one discipline of the triathlon. Distances are the same as the sprint race: 5 kilometer run (3.1 miles), a 20 kilometer bike (12.4 miles), and a 400 meter (0.25 mile) swim. Grab two friends!
