Nocturnal 12 Virtual
Nocturnal 12 12-hour Virtual Race $50-60, depending upon time. Nocturnal 12 is a 12-hour fixed time virtual race. Imagined to be walker and mobility-impaired friendly and diet sensitive. Racing on your own allows you flexibility to race your way within our parameters. Being night-themed means you can expect a variety of night-time odds and ends! Registration includes a Nocturnal Snack Pack, Packet Expanders, and opportunities to bulk up your packet and interact with other racers by participating in our signature Earned Extras. Share pictures of your Garmin/Strava/Device images and such at Obatron Fitness Conversation Space on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/groups/obatronfitnessconversationspace)under the Earned Extras posts for such things. Race should include at least some portion of night-time hours. Packets will be available 3 weeks after the virtual race finish date for most racers. If you earn a jacket, your packet will be delayed until that is fulfilled. Pre-race prep packets will be mailed to those who are registered by October 1, 2022. After that, prep materials will be included with the post-race packet. See the main registration page for more details about the race.
Nocturnal 12 In Person
Nocturnal 12 12-hour In Person Race $60-80, depending upon time. Nocturnal 12 is a 12-hour fixed time race. Come when you want, leave when you want, and race for up to all 12 hours. Walker and friendly and diet sensitive. Course is a mostly flat, 1.025-mile out-and-back (2.05-mile round trip) on wide, well-kept paved path. There are NO street lights along path. The path is the section of Lake Ontario State Parkway Trail between Island Cottage Road and Dewey Avenue in Town of Greece, NY. Headlamps or flashlights are required. A small flashlight is included in your race packet. As there are sections near the parkway, reflective gear is encouraged. Please be mindful of your proximity to others and respect other people's sense of personal space. Being night-themed means you can expect a variety of night-time odds and ends! Registration includes a Nocturnal Snack Pack, Packet Expanders, and opportunities to bulk up your packet and interact with other racers by participating in our signature Earned Extras. Racers get race a shirt, medallion, and any earned milestone tokens and awards. Share pictures of your Garmin/Strava/Device images and such at Obatron Fitness Conversation Space on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/groups/obatronfitnessconversationspace)under the Earned Extras posts for such things.
