Not One More York Chapter's 5K
About this race
NOM-York’s 5K was created to raise funds to support our mission – to provide awareness, education and support to those affected by substance use disorder and addiction – as well as to provide a gathering opportunity for the recovery community. At our event, we remember those we have lost to addiction and honor those fighting for recovery.
Our 5K is not like others. It is not a highly competitive event. Although we do our best, we sometimes start the race a little late, and we have hiccups along the way. If you are a serious runner, this may not be the event for you.

5K Run/Walk Individual Registration (not on a team)
This event, which raises money to support Not One More - York Chapter, goes toward our mission to provide support and resources to those impacted by addiction and to raise awareness and provide education on the opioid epidemic our community is facing. Particular programs that benefit from sponsorships include C.A.R.E.S., a biweekly support group for families and loved ones dealing with addiction; FAMILY CONNECTION, a support group for grandparents (and others) providing care to children due to addiction issues; and FENCES AND BRIDGES, a kids club that creates a safe place for children facing daily challenges resulting from the loss of a loved one or a loved ones’ struggle with addiction. Sponsorships also provide financial assistance to cover the cost of unexpected funerals due to overdose; a scholarship for CRS and CFRS certification programs at HACC-York; financial support for those required by York County Probation to participate in the ignition interlock program; and Randy's Wish; scholarship program, which provides funding to those seeking residency in a recovery/sober living/transitional living/life skills house, as well as those seeking to begin medication-assisted treatment.
