The half-marathon follows approximately ten laps of the scenic 5K lakeside course at Bob Wentz Park, totaling 13.1 miles along the Lake Travis shoreline. Starting at 8:00 AM, a full hour before the shorter distances, you'll enjoy quieter paths and cooler temperatures for your early miles.
Each lap delivers stunning waterfront views of Lake Travis and the Texas Hill Country. The varied sandy terrain provides a natural training stimulus while reducing joint impact compared to road running.

We invite you to get outdoors and get active at this family-friendly 5K event! A wonderful way to encourage healthy living while enjoying the beauty of Arkansas Bend Park's trails. Runners of all ages and paces are welcome. Lace up your running shoes and embark on a memorable journey. Proceeds benefit Fit Foundation's youth fitness and special needs training programs. Park fees are included in the registration.
6.2-mile (10K) Run/Walk
Test your speed endurance at this 10K trail race, with part of the course on the park's main trails! The scenic course winds through Arkansas Bend Park. Chip timing and age group awards add to the competitive environment. Proceeds benefit Fit Foundation's youth fitness and special needs training programs. Park fees are included in the registration.

Balcones 4-H Youth 5K
This event is designed to promote youth fitness, community engagement, and support our local 4-H club activities. Lace up your running shoes and get ready for a fantastic morning of exercise, camaraderie, and giving back to our community. Important Information: -All proceeds from this event will directly support Balcones 4-H Club activities and programs -Parents and guardians are welcome to run alongside their children (registration required) -Strollers are permitted, but must start at the back of the group Support a Great Cause: By participating in this race, you're not just promoting youth fitness – you're also supporting the valuable programs and activities of the Balcones 4-H Club. Our club focuses on developing leadership, citizenship, and life skills in young people through hands-on learning experiences. Volunteer Opportunities: We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make this event a success. If you're interested in volunteering, please get in touch. Kids 1K
Our 1K race is specially designed for our youngest athletes, ages 8 and under. Guardians are welcome to accompany their child during the 1K. To do so, you must be registered for either the 5K or 1 Mile run. This ensures proper event coverage and safety for all participants.

Required Gear Rucksack: GORUCK Rucker recommended, but any rucksack is acceptable Must have reflective elements for visibility and safety Ruck Plates: Men: 20 lb (9.1 kg) Ruck Plate Women: 10 lb (4.5 kg) Ruck Plate Plates must be placed high in the rucksack, close to your back Additional Gear: Hydration system (water bladder or bottles) Appropriate footwear for trail conditions Weather-appropriate clothing Weight Requirements These weight requirements apply to all events (5K, 10K, and Half Marathon): Men: 20 lbs (9.1 kg) Women: 10 lbs (4.5 kg) Note: These are dry weights. Water, food, and additional gear do not count towards the weight requirement. Weight Verification Weight checks will be conducted at the start and finish of each event For longer events (10K and Half Marathon), additional checks may be performed during the course Participants must maintain the required weight throughout the entire event Additional Notes While GORUCK Ruck Plates are recommended, equivalent weights (e.g. weight vest plates) are acceptable as long as they meet the weight requirement and can be secured high in the rucksack. Safety is paramount. Ensure your ruck is properly packed and weighted to avoid injury.
