OBX Turkey Trot 5K Virtual
For all our friends who wish they could join us but are too far away! Run with us in the spirit of Thanksgiving! Virtual runners will all receive a finisher medal (No shirts).
OBX Turkey Trot 5K
5K Course: 3.1 miles beginning just behind Southern Shores Town Hall in the cul-de-sac. Run will be mainly on pavement, however there is some cross over to uneven pavement at the first turn to the sidewalk from the road. Course will wind through Spindrift and High Dune Loop to return back down Skyline Drive to the finish. Start and finish of all runs is at the Pitts Center located directly behind town hall. Race begins promptly at 9:00AM and will have a one hour time limit. The Fun Run will begin promptly following the 5K no later than 10AM! Raffles and Prizes will follow shortly after the 5K! Strollers and dogs (on a leash) are welcome on course. Traffic control and Hamm Radio will be present. Water station on the course. Stick around for a hot second after your run for awesome raffles, the largest flock award, hot pancakes and awards for the top male and female runners!
Turkey Trot Fun Run
Fun Run Course: The course will be estimated at .75 - 1 mile beginning just behind Southern Shores Town Hall in the cul-de-sac. Course will run down Skyline Drive and back to the finish. Start and finish is at the Pitts Center located directly behind town hall. Race begins promptly after the 5K around 10AM. Arrive no later than 9:45 to be a part of the festivities and FUN RUN! Raffles and Prizes will follow shortly after the 5K and after the Fun Run. Strollers and dogs (on a leash) are welcome on course. Traffic control and Hamm Radio will be present. Stick around for a hot second after your run for awesome raffles, the largest flock award, hot pancakes and awards for the top male and female runners!
