Oktemberfest 5K

Kick off your Oktemberfest Saturday on the right foot with the annual Oktemberfest 5K Run/Walk in Marshalltown!

Taking place on the morning of Saturday, September 26, this community favorite gives runners, joggers, and walkers of all ages a chance to stretch their legs, soak up the crisp fall morning, and celebrate before the grand parade rolls through town.

Lace up early, complete your 3.1 miles, and wrap up with plenty of time to claim a front-row spot for the famous Oktemberfest Grand Parade. Set against the backdrop of historic downtown Marshalltown and the Marshall County Courthouse Square, the course guides participants along paved streets and classic local landmarks. Whether you're chasing a personal best, kicking off a fitness goal, or taking a relaxed morning stride with family and friends, all paces and age groups are welcome. Feel the excitement in the air as food vendors, carnival rides, live music, and weekend festivities assemble right around the finish line.
