FOR SERIOUS AND CASUAL RUNNERS 10 AND UP - CHIP TIMED The 2021 Stuffed Strut begins at 8 am on Thanksgiving morning in downtown Wytheville, at the new Open Door Café. The route is a relatively flat paved course around downtown Wytheville. November mornings in our climate zone can be frigid. Please dress accordingly. Parking is available at the Café, next door at the HOPE Ministry Center, and across Main Street in a church parking lot. On-site registration opens at 6:45 am. We will serve warm refreshments immediately after the run's conclusion, in time to get everyone home for a big Thanksgiving lunch. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in several age and mobility categories will receive recognition.
5k Virtual Run / Walk / Roll
FOR ACTIVE SUPPORTERS WHO ARE OUT OF TOWN OR WANT TO PARTICIPATE VIRTUALLY Run, walk, or roll 3.1 miles anytime from November 1 - 30th, anywhere of your choice. Join our hunger fighting Stuffed Strut A-Thon. Compete as an individual or create a team to raise funds for at least 10 Open Door Café meals. Track your progress and share selfies on social media using #strutwytheus.
Kids Fun Strut
FOR CHILDREN UNDER 10 The 1 mile Fun Strut is a dedicated route for kids that begins between 8:30 and 8:45 am so as not to overlap with the main event. Children watching their parents/guardians run can participate after the race, or and adult runner can join their child for a cool-down walk. Kids under 5 register for free. Children 5-9 register for $10 and raise funds for two café meals ($16).
