Outback in the Ozarks 205 Mile Relay
About this race
Welcome to Outback in the Ozarks — the first and only overnight team endurance relay set deep in the heart of Northwest Arkansas. Spanning 205 miles and 36 rugged legs, this one-of-a-kind adventure kicks off in the historic town of Eureka Springs and winds its way through the stunning Ozark National Forest and five state parks, before crossing the finish line at Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park. Whether you're running, laughing, lake-swimming, or battling sleep deprivation with your teammates, this race promises unforgettable memories and the most breathtaking backroads the Ozarks have to offer. Come experience the ultimate team challenge — this is more than a race, it's your next great story.
The team captain should be the first to register and will create the team during the registration process. Once registration is complete, the captain will receive a confirmation email.
At that point, you have two options for adding team members:
Option 1: Have each runner register themselves by selecting “Join an Existing Group/Team” during registration. They’ll be prompted to enter the team name you created.
Option 2: Log into your RunSignup profile, scroll down to “Groups,” click “View Group,” and then select “Add Members” to invite participants directly.
When choosing a team name, please remember that Outback in the Ozarks is a family-friendly event. Keep it fun, creative, and appropriate for all ages!

Running
OTO Ultra Team (4-6 Runners)
This Ultra Team option is for 4-6 runners. Ultra teams compete as male, female, or mixed teams.
OTO Standard Team (7-12 Runners)
The Standard Team is for 7 to 12 people. Each standard team is classified as a male, female, or mixed and will compete in one of several divisions within those classifications.
OTO Half Team (6 Runners)
The OTO Half Team is 6 people. Don’t have all 12-team members, but you have one van filled? If you have a 6-person team, we can connect you with another 6-person team.
OTO Individual (1 Runner)
Don’t have a team, but still want to run? Register as a Connect Individual—a solo spot for those who want to join the race but don’t have a full team. We’ll match you with other individuals to create a 12-person team and get you on the road! This option is only available for the 205 Mile Relay Race.
65 Mile Relay (4-6 Runners)
Want to skip the all-nighter? The 65 Mile Challenge is perfect for teams of 4–6 runners. You’ll avoid the overnight section of the 200-mile relay, starting fresh at Lake Fort Smith and finishing strong at Prairie Grove—the same epic finish line as the full relay. Fewer miles, same big vibes.
