Palmdale's Stars, Stripes & Sneakers 5k

REGISTRATION is OPEN!!!

July 4, 2026 is the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. To celebrate, the City of Palmdale and the High Desert Runners are hosting a 5k and a kid's K race at Sam Yellen Park.  The cost of the 5k is only $25.00  and the Kid's K and 1/2 K races are only $15 !!

The 5k race will be professionally chip timed. There will be T-shirts and medals given to all participants while supplies last. There will be age group awards given in the 5k race for the following age groups:

0-12
13-19
20-29
30-39
40-49
50-59
60+

Packet Pickup 

• July 3rd: 5pm to 8pm at Legacy Commons for Active Seniors (930 East Avenue Q-9/ Palmdale CA 93550)
  Pick up race packets on Friday, July 3 to be entered for a raffle prize!
• July 4th (race morning): Beginning at 6:30am at Sam Yellen Park  (5100 East Avenue S/ Palmdale CA. 93552)

Race Schedule 

• 8:00 am - Kid's 1/2 K Kids Red, White & Zoom Fun Run (ages 8 and under)
• 8:15 am - Kid's 1 K Kids Red, White & Zoom Fun Run (ages 8-12)
• 8:30 am - Stars, Stripes & Sneakers 5k Walk/Run
