Pineland Striders Boxing Day 5K
The 5K is USATF sanctioned (the course is NOT USATF certified). The race will be chip-timed. The course has some hills (total elevation gain is approximately 150 feet) and uses residential roads surrounding Signal Hill Elementary School (please be respectful of neighborhood residents). There is a very small section of the course that goes off-road (it's a grass-covered field, which is flat and not at all technical). NO on-course hydration. Wheelchairs/strollers permitted. Dogs not permitted. Awards will be given to the first place male, female, and non-binary finishers. Age group awards will be given to the first three male, female, and non-binary finishers in the following age groups: under 15, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and older. Pineland Striders Boxing Day Kids' Fun Run
The FREE Kids' Fun Run is open to runners (or walkers, or crawlers) under 10 years old. The Kids' Fun Run is approximately 1/4 mile on the road next to the Signal Hill Elementary School parking lot. Course marshalls will be stationed along the route to monitor for traffic and ensure participant safety. Participants will receive a race bib and finisher's medal. The Fun Run will not be timed, so there will be no awards for placement. just completion. Participants will not receive a race swag item, but will receive some goodies!
