Join us for the 10th Annual Pomona 5K & 10K on Saturday, October 17, 2026
The Pomona 5K/10K celebrates its 10th anniversary on Saturday, October 17, 2026. Take the chance to be a part of this historic milestone. With an average of 700 running participants and over 500 spectators in Downtown Pomona to cheer on all the runners, this event is a premier community event in the City of Pomona with a broad reach.
Visit the Health & Wellness Resource Fair from 8:00am through 12:00pm
In conjunction with the Pomona 5K & 10K, we are also hosting the Health & Wellness Resource Fair at Shaun Diamond Plaza throughout the race and after. If you are not participating in the race, or if you finish early, please visit the booths at our Health & Wellness Resource Fair. We created this complimentary event to highlight our community partners, provide accessible health services and promote wellness for resident of all ages. Visit the Health & Wellness Fair for information on what's happening in the community, free health screenings, wellness education, and direct connections to valuable healthcare and support services.
Our Background
The Pomona 5K was born in 2016, with the vision of creating a community-driven running event in the heart of Downtown Pomona. The Pomona 5K is a partnership between Pomona Valley Runners, a local running group, and various community organizations including God’s Pantry, a community-based nonprofit organization. This event has been coordinated by a core group of dedicated community leaders from Pomona who volunteer their time to put on this event from the ground up.

- 7:30 AM | 5K START (Combo runners will start with and complete their 5K distance prior to the 10K start. You will then start with and complete your 10K distance.)

Join fellow runners on October 17, 2026 for the Pomona 5K & 10K. It's a fantastic 5K, 10K, 15K, 0.4K featuring a flat and fast course in Pomona.

5K Run/Walk
New Course! This years 5K will be a single lap through downtown Pomona, beginning and ending at our traditional start/finish line location.
10K Run/Walk
New Course! This years 10K will be two laps through downtown Pomona, beginning and ending at our traditional start/finish line location.
Combo 5K/10K
New EVENT! Want more miles? This year we will be offering you the opportunity to complete a 5K and 10K (9.3 miles). That's 3 laps through downtown Pomona. You will start with the 5K at 7:30am and will have one hour to complete it before beginning your 10K at 8:30am. You will receive separate results for both distances and have the opportunity to place in your age division in both.
Toddler Trot
Age requirement: 1-5 years old Babies in strollers with a parent welcome!
Virtual 5K Run/Walk
Can't make it in person? Complete your 5K Run/Walk at a time that works best for you between Oct 17th and Oct 24th to be included in the virtual results.
Virtual 10K Run/Walk
Can't make it in person? Complete your 10K Run/Walk at a time that works best for you between Oct 17th and Oct 24th to be included in the virtual results.
Virtual Combo 5K/10K
Can't make it in person? Complete your 15K Run/Walk at a time that works best for you between Oct 17th and Oct 24th to be included in the virtual results.
