About this race
Prospect Ridge Academy is thrilled to present our 16th Annual Miner Gold Rush and Fall Festival! All proceeds will benefit Prospect Ridge Academy, a public charter school providing a rigorous, quality K-12 education with an intensified math and science focus. Help support the school while having fun in this exciting community event! Please check back often for updates!
Race Registration Information
Early Bird Registration - May 1 through September 14:- 5K - $40
- 1 Mile Fun Run - $25
- 5K - $45
- 1 Mile Fun Run - $30
- 5K - $55
- 1 Mile Fun Run - $40
The 5K race will be held in the morning on Saturday, October 4, 2025. Same-day packet pickup will begin at 8 a.m. with the race beginning promptly at 9 a.m. Once the race is finished you can go home, change, and return for the Fall Festival and Fun Run!
Fall Festival and 1-mile Fun Run
Join us for the Fall Festival from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on the PRA high school grass field! Attractions include:
- 1-mile Fun Run
- Panning for Gold! This new attraction will let you pan for prizes like a real-life gold Miner!
- Carnival games with prizes!
- Ninja Nation obstacle course with Warp Wall.
- Food trucks
- Dunk Tank (sponsored by PRA Cross Country - extra fee to play - 5 balls for $5)
- Craft table
- Face painting (sponsored by Krista Hwang - all donations go to PRA Theater)
- Photo area
- Broomfield Police Department
Fall Festival wristbands are included in your 5K and 1-Mile race registration. Fall Festival wristbands can be purchased separately both online for $15 or at the event for $25 each.

5K Run + Fall Festival
PRA's 5K course takes runners from PRA's track, along the canal behind the school, through parts of the Anthem neighborhood, around the park southwest of the school, back along the canal, and finishes back at PRA's track. 8:00 a.m.: Same-day packet pickup 8:30 a.m.: Start corralling for 5K 9:00 a.m.: 5K race begins 12:30 p.m.: Medal Ceremony at the main stage at the Fall Festival Those who place in the top three of each division of the 5K will receive a medal! Medals breakdown: Top 3 Overall (Male/Female) Top 3 Age 0-9 (Male/Female) Top 3 Age 10-19 (Male/Female) Top 3 Age 20-29 (Male/Female) Top 3 Age 30+ (Male/Female) Note: Those who medal overall will not be counted in their age division. Fall Festival wristbands are included in your purchase!
1 Mile Fun Run + Fall Festival
Timing for the 1-Mile Fun Run will be: 9:30 a.m.: Family sponsor same-day packet pickup and early entrance to the Ninja Course (Diamond, Platinum and Gold Sponsors only) 10:00 a.m.: General admission for same-day packet pickup begins 10:30 a.m.: Fun Run #1 begins: Grade K -1st - 1 lap around track 10:40 a.m.: Fun Run #2 begins: Grade 2nd -3rd - 2 laps around track 10:50 a.m.: Fun Run #3 begins: Grade 4 -5 - 4 laps around track 11:00 a.m.: Fun Run #4 begins: All others - 4 laps around track Please arrive early to make sure you're ready when your heat begins! Fall Festival wristbands are included in your purchase!
