About this race
Join us for the first Prairie On Fire Course Preview Run, hosted by This Blonde Runs Coaching!
We’ll gather at the picnic shelter at White River Campground, the very place where Prairie On Fire Backyard Ultra begins. The morning will kick off with a brief history of backyard ultras and Prairie On Fire, followed by a Q&A session with Race Director, TJ Dailey.
At precisely 8:00 AM, TJ will lead participants out on the official 4.167-mile POF day loop. Whether you're interested in seeing what a backyard ultra is all about, running your first Prairie On Fire this fall, or you're a returning runner ready to reconnect with the course and community, we invite you to join us.
*No Prairie On Fire registration is required to participate in the preview run.
Following the run, stay for snacks and more conversation!
All proceeds from this event will benefit More Than Miles XC. MTM XC is a 501(c)(3) grassroots running collective dedicated to empowering at-promise older youth through running, movement, and mentorship. Through access to shoes, local race and school sports-based opportunities, support, and community, More Than Miles helps young people step confidently into their potential — one mile at a time.
