About this race

1K Principal’s Challenge Kid's Race & Fitness Fair     Saturday, September 20th  9am - 11am.  Hutchinson Park, Uniontown, PA. This is a TheTrophyHusband.run hosted event. 

Sign up for this event is for elementary school age students.  

We’re excited to bring back a favorite community event—the 1K Principal’s Challenge—a fun, non-competitive run dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles among Fayette County’s elementary school students.   This unique event partners with Fayette County elementary school principals, who challenge their students to get active, move together, and celebrate health and school spirit.  

We’re introducing the nationally recognized “Kids Run the Nation” program through our partnership with the Road Runners Club of America.
We’re teaming up with our region’s top wellness leaders and the YMCA to further support youth fitness in our community
This is more than a run—it’s a celebration of health, school spirit, and community generosity. Come cheer, run, walk, and be part of something inspiring.

👟 Every child who participates will receive:

A bib number
A FREE event t-shirt-Sign up by 9-15 to ensure size.A finisher medal—all at no cost to families

🏁 The run  is all about fun, fitness, and togetherness. It’s a chance for kids to run alongside classmates and principals in a joyful, pressure-free environment that builds confidence and community.

🎉 At the finish area, there will be a variety of health-related and fun activities for students and families to enjoy. It’s all part of a larger celebration of Childhood Obesity Awareness Month, helping families embrace wellness and healthy habits that can last a lifetime.  We also anticipate a visit from the Pirate Parrot!!

💞 Parents are welcome to run alongside their child if their little one is feeling shy or unsure. No registration is needed for parents.

Donations are welcome to offset the cost of the event.  Please hit the donate button, any amount will help.
