About the Event
Join us in the Creative Capital for this historic marathon, half marathon and 5k. Providence Rhode Races winds through 4 of Rhode Island's famous communities, providing runners with a truly unique RI experience. Enjoy historic neighborhoods, treelined streets, sweeping coastal views, and working waterfronts.
The Marathon will start at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Bold Point Park, East Providence, RI. The Half Marathon will start at 8:00 a.m. from the same location. The RI 250th Anniversary 5k will follow at 8:15 am - all from the same cityside start.
*New for 2026 - The Kids Fun Run is BACK! The Kids' Fun Run will start and finish at the same Bold Point Park location, directly following the 5k start. It is a one-kilometer course, and limited to children under 10. No strollers are allowed. One parent is allowed to run with their child but must also be registered. All children under 10 who finish will receive a participation medal.
The marathon course is USATF certified and is a Boston Marathon Qualifier.
Please Note: Providence Rhode Races will be happening rain or shine. Because of the logistics of planning for a race of this size, we cannot offer refunds for any reason. In the event that weather is severe enough to create an unsafe environment for participants, organizers will cancel the event with no refunds issued.

Kids Fun Run
The Kids' Fun Run will start and finish at the same Bold Point Park location, directly following the 5k start. It is a one-kilometer course, and limited to children under 10. No strollers are allowed. One parent is allowed to run with their child but must also be registered. All children under 10 who finish will receive a participation medal.
Virtual Full Marathon
