Quatina M. Wolaver Poker Run

Do you like to run? Do you like to play poker? Do you like supporting worthy causes with your participation? If so, this is the event for YOU - come on out to Old Town (80 Quick School Road) at 2 PM on the last Sunday in September every year to run as many laps as you can in an hour to raise funds and awareness for ovarian cancer! This race format is totally unique for our area and has been a lot of fun for our participants for the last 8 years; we are looking forward to keeping the fun going for our 9th year! We hope you're as excited as we are to support our Lincoln County young people through our scholarship program which Poker Run funds!

Concept: Runners complete as many 1/2 mile loops on our closed, gravel course in ONE HOUR as they wish.  For each lap completed, a card will be placed in an envelope for you by a volunteer. Runners must complete 5 loops (2.5 miles) within the hour in order to play poker. There are no age groups since the winners aren't based on speed so, bring your kids and grandmas! Never know who lady luck is going to smile on!

We are running a CUPLESS event. If you've never participated in one of these, that just means that we will provide lots of water coolers, but you will provide the vessel and will fill it yourself, as needed.

20 Total Prizes:
Male + Female - Most Laps 17u, 18+
Male + Female - Top 3 Poker Hands 17u, 18+
Male + Female - Fastest Lap 17u, 18+

Packet Pickup: All packets must be picked up 12:30 - 1:45 on race day, September 27th. 

T-shirt Cutoff: September 14th, 2026

Definitely no dogs or strollers on this one - the course would not be a good one for either of these.

All proceeds from this race will benefit the Quatina M. Wolaver Foundation of Hope, which strives to raise awareness and funding for research for ovarian cancer. *Did you know that your PAP does NOT test for ovarian cancer? There is NO TEST for this disease!
