Lace up your sneakers and join us as the Race to Empower returns on Sunday, May 3, 2026 for another unforgettable day of movement, community, and impact. This inclusive, family-friendly 5K and One Mile Fun Run brings people of all abilities together to support children and adults with disabilities across our community.

Schedule:

Registration & Packet Pickup: 7:30 AM
5K & One Mile Start: 9:00 AM
Awards Ceremony: 10:00 AM

The Course:
A scenic route through University Circle, Rockefeller Park, and the Cleveland Cultural Gardens—one of the most beautiful backdrops in the city.

After you cross the finish line, keep the energy going at our post-race street fair featuring food trucks, music, vendor booths, and family-friendly fun.

1 Mile: Run or walk, untimed and family-friendly
Jogging strollers and wheelchairs are welcome. This race is for everyone.

Every step fuels UCP of Greater Cleveland’s mission to help children and adults with disabilities live fuller, more independent lives. Proceeds support programs at LeafBridge and OakLeaf Centers, providing therapy, employment opportunities, and community inclusion to more than 1,300 individuals each year.
