Racin' the Station Duathlon
About this race
“Racin’ the Station” Duathlon is a non-sanctioned USAT Run/Bike/Run event where the
participants will “race” the International Space Station (ISS) as it completes one Earth
orbit—91 minutes & 12 seconds. Marshall Space Flight Center will track the starting
location of the ISS at the race start time and see who “beats” the Space Station by
completing the event before the 91-minute & 12-second mark.

Race starts at 8:15am on Saturday, October 10th, 2026. Race is located on the Army's Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL where NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center is also located. Only US citizens are allowed on the Arsenal (unless already badged for official business). Locals that do NOT have access are encouraged to get a recreation badge (rec badge) through the Army (weeks in advance). Those that don't have access to military bases will either have to be escorted by someone who does have access (ride with another racer or spectator) or the race director will work access for you through the security process described during registration.
