About the Event
However, due to the limited swag supply, please only sign up for one race even if you are planning on participating in multiple events.
As a way to celebrate the start of our Summer Reading Program, Unearth a Story, come and celebrate building a healthy community this summer with a blast of color at the library’s FREE dinosaur-themed color run through Plainwell.
The events consists of a timed 5k, a 1 Mile, and a 250 Yard Mini (ages 3-8).

Join fellow runners on June 6, 2026 for the Ransom District Library Color Run: Jurassic Jaunt. It's a fantastic 5K, 1.6K featuring a flat and fast course in Plainwell.
Races Offered
Running
5k Fun Run/Walk
The 5k will begin at the library at 10:30a.m. next to the library. This will be a timed event. Feel free to come at 10a.m. to cheer on the Mini-Run and the 1 Mile.
1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
Please come to the starting line next to the library before 10a.m. to cheer on our littlest runners as they cross the finish line of the Mini Run. The 1 Mile event will start immediately afterwards.
