About this race
Welcome to our 11th Annual Remember the Fallen 5K run/walk! We are excited to provide in person and virtual race options. The event is hosted by the South Dakota Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 1. This event is a way to remember those Law Enforcement Officers who have lost their lives serving their communities, as well to say thank you for those who continue to protect our communities every day!
This year's event will come at the end of National Police Week. In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week. Currently, tens of thousands of law enforcement officers from around the world converge on Washington, DC to participate in a number of planned events which honor those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
Join fellow runners on May 16, 2020 for the Remember The Fallen 5K. It's a fantastic 5K featuring a flat and fast course in Sioux Falls.

***Packet pickup this year will be at the Law Enforcement Center, 320 W 4th Street, on SaturdayMay 16th from 1-3pm. If you cannot make it, we will make arrangements to get your packets to you*** ***Due to the COVID19 Virus, we will have to make this a virtual run this year*** The 5K Walk/Run will be run on the scenic Sioux Falls Bike Trail. We will run again this year at Riverdale Park, 2000 E 24th Street, Sioux Falls, SD.
