Rocket City Runners x Run With Kenyans Juneteenth 5K & 10K
Join Rocket City Runners and Run With Kenyans for an unforgettable Juneteenth Run on Saturday, June 19, 2027 at 8:00am!
Whether you choose the 5K, or 10K, you'll be running for an incredible cause as we celebrate Juneteenth and the power of community through running.
The race begins at the newly renovated Ditto Landing and follows the beautiful, shaded Aldridge Creek Greenway. This is an out-and-back course, with turnaround points clearly marked at the 5K and 10K locations, allowing you to choose your distance.
Every participant will receive a custom finisher medal and shirt upon completing their race. In addition, we'll recognize the largest registered group/team with a special award. Age group awards will also be presented, with full placement details to be announced soon.
We are incredibly excited to partner with Run With Kenyans for this special event. All proceeds and donations from the race will benefit the Run Abroad Initiative, which supports:
Student-athlete scholarships and exchange program opportunities
Youth summer camps
Community park and wellness running programs
Shoe drives for aspiring Kenyan student-athletes
The development of a high-altitude training camp in Kenya
Professional race timing and results will be provided by RunningLane, who will also host packet pickup.
