About this race

Join us for a fun-filled community 5k in Avon, Mn. Featuring a free Kids Run, Toddler Trot and root beer floats at the finish. Proceeds benefit students at Avon Elementary School. Hosted by Avon Community Church. 

Join fellow runners on September 12, 2026 for the Root Beer 5k. It's a fantastic 5K featuring a flat and fast course in Avon.

Awards will be presented to the top finisher in each age group. Age group divisions are 20 and under, 21-39 and 40 and above. The 5k course starts and ends at Avon Community Church winding through the city of Avon before heading onto the Lake Wobegon Trail for a flat out and back stretch. The course will be well marked and have volunteers throughout, with a water stop approximately halfway through. Race day packet pickup will be from 7:00-7:45 AM Participants who register before August 28th, will be guaranteed a t-shirt.
