Rucks On Main Memorial Day Ruck March
About this race
Twice a year, Rucks On Main will host a military-themed ruck march at the Santa Fe Plaza in downtown Temple, Texas, to honor our Veterans and The Fallen. This ruck march is open to everyone. On Memorial & Veterans Day weekends, marchers will fill their rucksacks with UP TO 40lbs of non-perishable food items to be donated to charitable organizations. Carry what you are comfortable with. Marchers will complete a 6-mile route through downtown and historic neighborhoods in North Temple. Before the ruck march, each participant will receive a t-shirt, and upon completion, each participant will receive a Rucks On Main velcro patch. Participants can preregister online or in person on the day of the event. Participants are not guaranteed a t-shirt of size if they register 30 days or fewer before the event (supplies will be limited). After completing the ruck march, marchers will gather at the Santa Fe Plaza to enjoy food, locally-brewed craft beer, and camaraderie.

Race-day registration and packet pick-up will run from 7:30am to 9am. Registration will be on your personal device (phone, iPad); credit card only. Shirts and coins guaranteed to all registrations received by April 28. Very limited quantities of coins and XL shirts available after this date on a first-come basis. This is a chip-timed event!
Squad
Each team will consist of exactly 5 squad members, male or female. Squads is eligible for competition medals for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place for most non-perishable food items carried. Rucks will be weighed after each person crosses the finish line. Squad with the most weight will be awarded medals after the last person crosses the finish line. Registrants who join as a squad but do not make the squad requirement of five members by 5pm May 26 will be moved to the individual event. No refunds. This is a chip-timed event!
