5K Race
Only runners and walkers are permitted to participate in the 5K. USATF SANCTIONED EVENT POLICY DOES NOT ALLOW FOR ANIMALS TO PARTICIPATE IN COMPETITIONS. The 5K is a USATF sanctioned event; therefore, dogs are PROHIBITED in the 5K. PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO THE COLLAPSE OF THE FERN HOLLOW BRIDGE, OUR 2022 RACE COURSE HAS CHANGED. PLEASE REFER TO THE MAP AND TURN-BY-TURN INSTRUCTIONS. The 5K course is slightly less than 3.1 miles. Pre-race packet pick up will be held FRIDAY, AUGUST 26, from 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm ONLY. Packets can also be picked up on race morning starting at 7:00 am. All packet pick up is held at the Wilkins School Community Center, 7604 Charleston Avenue.
1.5 Mile Run/Walk
This is a family-friendly event. Participants are welcome to bring toddlers in strollers and dogs. Dogs MUST be on a leash and include a registered handler. Participants are responsible for cleaning up after their dog(s). USATF SANCTIONED EVENT POLICY DOES NOT ALLOW FOR ANIMALS TO PARTICIPATE IN COMPETITIONS. In order to qualify for an award, participants are required by USATF rules to complete the course on their own without assistance. Toddlers in strollers or those who are otherwise carried or assisted by an adult ARE NOT ELIGIBLE for awards. Pre-race packet pick up will be held FRIDAY, AUGUST 26, from 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm ONLY.
