WHY WE RACE?
This Christmas, we have the opportunity to give back to the residents of our nursing home (Mt. Sterling Health and Rehab) through a special 5K created to bring our community together for a meaningful cause. The holiday season can be especially important for our residents, and every step taken in this race will help spread joy, comfort, and a sense of connection. Whether you run, walk, volunteer, or simply help support the event, your participation can make a difference in making Christmas brighter for those who call our nursing home, home.
Our goal is to turn miles into smiles and make sure every resident feels remembered and valued during the holiday season. Funds raised through the 5K will help provide Christmas gifts, special activities, and meaningful moments for our residents. This event is about more than crossing a finish line—it’s about coming together as a community, honoring our older adults, and showing them that they are loved, appreciated, and never forgotten. Join us this Christmas and help us make every step count!
Pick your distance
Running
5K Run/Walk
A timed 5K (3.1 miles) run/walk for all levels. Awards for top finishers. Race will be run on paved trail and road surfaces. Strollers and dogs on fixed length leashes are welcomed.
FREE Kid's Dash (9 & Under)
A FREE Kid's Dash for those 9 and under. Each child will receive a participation medal. Shirts are available for a $10 add on. There are no performance awards for this event.
Virtual Runner/Walker
An opportunity to support our cause even if you can't join us in person. Consider running/walking your own 5K as a virtual participant. We'll mail or deliver your commemorative race T-shirt for your $30 donation.
Race Volunteer
We need 5-7 volunteers to work a 3.5-hour race day shift from 7:30-11am to make our race a success. Volunteers will receive a race T-shirt.
