Run For Holland 5K
About this race
The purpose of the Run For Holland 5K and 10K is to raise awareness in our community about Down Syndrome and other disabilities. Specifically, to raise awareness for parents who have had or are having a child born with a physical or mental disability. We want to show these parents that having a child with Down Syndrome or any other disability is not the end of the world, it is the beginning of a wonderfully different, more fulfilling world.
Join fellow runners on May 7, 2022 for the Run For Holland 5K. It's a fantastic 5K, 10K, 1.6K featuring a flat and fast course in Spruce Pine.

The 5k is for all fitness levels. Run, Walk, Crawl to the finish line as you go through beautiful downtown Spruce Pine.
5K Person With Disability FREE
Any person with a disability can participate for free! The 5k is for all fitness levels. Run, Walk, Crawl to the finish line as you go through beautiful downtown Spruce Pine.
10K Run
The 10k is for all fitness levels. Run, Walk, Crawl to the finish line as you go through beautiful downtown Spruce Pine. Beware of a BIG climb up reservoir road at mile 4.
Fun Run
The Fun Run will take place before the 5k and 10k. This is a great opportunity for kids and beginner runners to get a feel for a race atmosphere as they run through Riverside park and back across the main finish line.
Fun Run Person With Disability

Speed For Need 5K Pushing Chair (F3 and FiA)
Speed For Need chairs will each have a rider with a disability. By signing up for this you are agreeing to run with a team to help push a chair through the race. Must be aware of safety protocols before pushing. The 5k is for all fitness levels. Run, Walk, Crawl to the finish line as you go through beautiful downtown Spruce Pine.
Spirit Runner (No Race, Just Shirt)
If you can't make it to the race or just want to participate by getting a cool shirt this is the registration for you! NOTE: If you register for this after the shirt deadline you will not be guaranteed a shirt.
