Join us for a beautiful fall morning and an event to raise money to save precious lives!
Lantz Tucker Memorial Fund for pets is a special fund for pets who are in urgent need of medical care.
Imagine your beloved pet has an emergency. Like being hit by a car, and he/she urgently needs vet care or he may die. But, you recently lost your job and things are tight and you don’t have $1000+ for a vet bill, no matter how much you love your dog. Or you have a job, and you work hard. You work full time and yet it's barely enough to cover the bills. What if your only choices were to let your pet die or surrender him to a rescue so he may live?
We help those pets, and their loving owners, so that the pet doesn’t die and the owners don’t have to surrender it to get it help.
Our annual fundraiser, Run for Paws 5K will be October 10, 2026 at Frontier Park in Olathe! 100% of the money raised in our 6h annual Run for Paws 5K will be used to directly pay vets for the urgent and life saving medical care. Since opening in April of 2020, our little fund has donated over $402,000 and helped to keep 1006 pets in their homes, with the families who love them. We ask for nothing in return, and every single penny donated goes directly to vet bills.
This run is our only fundraiser, otherwise we operate 100% on donations. Please join us and help us to save even more lives!

Run for Paws 5K - Benefiting the Lantz Tucker Memorial Fund
Packet pickup will be October 9, 2026 at Shelter 1 at Frontier Park from 5pm to 7:30pm. If you are unable to pick up your packet at that time, you are welcome to pick up the morning of the race, as early as 8am. Dogs are welcome to attend as long as they are dog and people friendly. Dog registrations come with a doggie t-shirt!
Run for Paws 5K- VIRTUAL
Can’t Join Us In Person? No problem! You can still be part of the fun by signing up for our virtual option. Whether you run or walk—solo, with a friend, or alongside your pup—you can complete your race anywhere that works for you. Once you're done, simply submit your time online to see how you stack up against other virtual participants. This is a great way to support the event from afar and still feel connected to the cause and community!
